Far too many of us have fallen for the enemy's deception, believing that our voice is best used in the hushed tones of criticism and gossip, or in brash tones of prideful entitlement. This is a misuse of the powerful voice God has given us.
Our designed voice, the one God intended for us to use, is a far cry from the insecurities, pride, judgment, and criticism that we often find ourselves slipping into. These negative traits bear no resemblance to the battle cry we were equipped to proclaim.
Do not believe the lie that we have insignificant roles in God's Kingdom. We are the King's daughters, given a word worth sharing and the authority to carry it into enemy territory, victory secure.
When we allow the gift of wisdom and insight to be hijacked, used to slash the people God died to save, our value to the Kingdom dims. The Holy Spirit within us, ready to roar, grieves instead, clearly seeing our potential wither.
The power of life and death is in the tongue. It's time to reclaim our territory by controlling the words we speak.
It's time to kneel before our savior, open hands raised, hearts ready to hear the word He wants to proclaim through us.
The still, small voice is waiting, eager to whisper critical battle plans intended to be spoken through you, activating purpose and courage in the people you are called to disciple and 'consider.'
What if we decide to set a new, healthy rhythm in our lives: mornings spent listening, praying, and reading scripture, our days exhorting and encouraging, and our nights wrestling with truth and resting in His promises?
Let the ebb and flow of our days and minutes follow their to-do list or schedule, but our why: our inner discipline and ultimate purpose is to hear the word of the Lord and proclaim it with confidence and boldness as we go about those tasks, each day looking more and more like the warrior we were created to be.
