There has been a Breach!

There has been a Breach!

I was sitting on my back porch when I distinctly heard our dog, Raleigh’s bark—off in the distance, way outside the fence. I hopped up and ran around (where people can see me) in my super puffy robe because it’s freezing (yet I insist on being outside because it’s fantastic). Anyway, I ran out in my stay-puff-marshmallow-man attire because I love this dog more than is probably healthy for a human. He ran right to me and back into the fence when I called because he is perfect. I looked around for his escape route, but I didn’t see anything...

Lady in Chains

Lady in Chains

I was standing by her in church one Sunday, when I felt an urgency to pray for her during worship. You see, I knew what was going on in her life.  I knew how overwhelmed she was with anxiety and fear.  It had been a rough season...The lies of the enemy were loud, and she was believing them.  She was at the point where she just could not see truth for the fog.  It's so hard to watch the people you love suffer.  It's also hard to know when and how to speak truth to them, so I specifically started...

The world was falling apart, but they had the insight to see the more important thing for them in that moment.     I know Jess. ...

When Campaigners Flew South, Two Worlds Collided

When Campaigners Flew South, Two Worlds Collided

Recently what felt like the entire political weight of the country descended on Georgia. It was the subject of complaints, jokes, bonfires—and one beautiful unseen good.   I had a lunch conversation last week that left me hopeful and inspired. I’ve talked a lot about my friend Raven and the impact she has had on my life. That day was totally different and also completely the same. She consistently inspires me.   We were talking about the state of the union when she casually shared about a paint class she recently taught. Raven is a talented artist with a compassionate...
